I am a Hamilton local and a travel broker who loves helping Kiwis see the world with confidence. I plan every trip as if I were going myself, and on our hosted tours, I am.
What does a travel broker do?
A travel broker is an independent travel agent. Bridgette plans and books your holiday using the same suppliers as the big agencies, but you deal with one person from first idea to safe return.
Do you only sell your own tours?
No. As well as our hosted and small-group tours, we can book flights, cruises, hotels and tailor-made holidays almost anywhere in the world.
Does it cost more to book through Gallivanta?
Usually not. Most of our income comes from supplier commission, so in most cases you pay the same as booking direct, with expert help included.
Are you based in Hamilton?
Yes. Gallivanta is owned and run from Hamilton in the Waikato. We are happy to meet for a coffee in town or chat by phone or video call, wherever you live in New Zealand.
How do deposits and payments work?
Tours are secured with a deposit, usually NZ$500 per person, with the balance due about 90 days before departure. We can also set up a payment plan so you pay it off in instalments.
